2014 Ciel du Cheval Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon MAGNUM
94 Points, The Wine Advocate
"Another beauty, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Ciel du Cheval Vineyard (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) comes all from the hot, windswept slopes of Red Mountain. Graphite, lead pencil, crème de cassis and smoked earth all emerge from this hedonistic, gorgeously textured beauty. It has tons of sweet fruit, building tannin and a supple, forward style that's hard to resist. I followed this bottle for three days, and it continues to improve. It's a terrific Cabernet Sauvignon that's going to keep for two decades." - Jeb Dunnuck
Ciel du Cheval Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, drawing Clone 8 Cabernet from one of Red Mountain’s most established vineyard sites, offers aromas of fig, blackberry, and quince, dried tobacco, and a touch of cedar. The palate gives us classic Red Mountain tones of darker fruit with dried cherries, dark raspberry, and light brown sugar notes. Fine grained tannins provide structure and depth to the wine, and a lingering finish. Drink now through 2025.
