2015 Fidelitas Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
94 Points, Jeb Dunnuck
"The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate from Fidelitas, one of the flagship releases from the estate, spent 22 months in 71% new French oak. Its deep, inky purple/ruby color is followed by an impressive bouquet of ripe plums, black cherries, tobacco, and leafy herbs. Picking up more chocolate and graphite characteristics with time in the glass, this full-bodied, rich, nicely concentrated effort has fine tannin, good purity of fruit, and nicely integrated acidity."
Fidelitas Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon sources the specific Cabernet clones 2 and 6, producing what can be called Fidelitas’ flagship Cabernet Sauvignon. An expressive nose shows layered aromas of blueberry, blackberry, violets, figs, dried herbs, and white pepper. The dense velvety smooth intake leads to a seamless palate of black fruits, dried tobacco, and coffee, with threads of cassis that run throughout. Tannins are fine and elegant with tons of structure, providing for a lengthy finish. Drink now through 2027.
