2015 Quintessence Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
94 Points, Jeb Dunnuck
The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Quintessence (100% Cabernet aged in 83% new French oak) offers more tobacco, spring flower, and violets characteristics, as well as a full-bodied, pure, balanced style on the palate. With lots of blue fruits, ripe tannin, and terrific purity, it's going to keep for 10-15 years. It's another high-quality, balanced wine from this estate. - Jeb Dunnuck
Made with clones of Cabernet Sauvignon that are found in the Bordeaux region of France, the Quintessence Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon gives us more of an Old World component than other Red Mountain wines. We find aromas of strawberries and blackberries, complimented by green olive and dark chocolate tones. The palate is well integrated with additional fruit notes of plum and dried berries, refined tannins, and a loooong finish. Drink now through 2027.
