2015 Red Mountain Malbec
Charlie Hoppes name "Washington's Top Malbec Maker" by the Andy Perdue of the Seatle Times.
Fruit for the Red Mountain Malbec is sourced from three unique vineyard sites within the AVA to create a balanced varietal wine. To let the Red Mountain fruit shine through, the grapes go through more gentle winemaking techniques and mostly neutral barrels. This provides us with bright red fruits, like raspberry and cherry, savory herbs, white pepper, and a hint of minerality. The palate offers a delicate complexity, showcasing dried cranberries and sage. Red Mountain Malbec is an excellent food wine with balanced acidity and gently textured mouthfeel. Drink now through 2023.
