Petit Verdot, typically used as a blending component, is highlighted in this blend of vineyards, 100% varietal bottling. Our Red Mountain PV still offers the weight and power of a typical Petit Verdot, but done in a fruit-forward style with polished tannins. On the aroma we get black cherry, violet, and plum. This wine has a fine grained yet chewy tannin structure begging to be paired with all sorts of Summer barbeque dishes. The palate is full of black fruit — blackberry, plum, and sage. We recommend enjoying this wine in its youth, with a brief 30 minute+ decanting, or over the next decade.
