2015 Optu Red Mountain
93 Points, Jeb Dunnuck
"The 2015 Optu Red Mountain is a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, and 4% Cabernet Franc. It's another inky-colored effort that gives up plenty of graphite, tobacco, and black cherry/currants styled fruits. It has lots of Cabernet Sauvignon character, the savory tannin of the Red Mountain terroir, and a great finish." - Jeb Dunnuck
Optu Red Mountain, the wine that started it all, is a representation of our favorite grapes and vineyards in the 2015 vintage. Comprised of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, this blend comes from Quintessence Vineyard, the Fidelitas Estate Vineyard, along with Red Heaven and Red Mountain vineyards. This crowd-pleasing blend is tasting beautifully now, but will also be a star in the cellar. Drink now through 2025.
