This spring, we are planting 9 acres adjacent to our existing 3 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon in the Fidelitas Estate Vineyard.
"This is a great piece of ground. By planting the vineyard, we have realized that even more. Consistent soils, good air drainage, and much of the ground is on a gentle southern slope. In addition, more importantly, it's our own, and there is a significant amount of land that could potentially make quite a bit of Estate wine. We have had the opportunity to plant three new clones of Cabernet Sauvignon that we did not have previously. ENTAV clones 191, 169, and 412. This adds some nice new components. We have a total of 6 clones just of Cabernet Sauvignon as of right. We also planted an entire acre of Petit Verdot as well as a nice chunk of Malbec, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc."
